Primary school in Ogbojo, Accra

Strong foundations. High expectations. Bright futures.

At Atlantic Academy, our academic promise starts with the skills children use every day: reading with understanding, expressing themselves in writing and making sense of mathematics.

Our primary school in Ogbojo combines these priorities with a broader education that values curiosity, character and confidence. We want children to take pride in learning and feel able to ask questions when they need help.

Reading, writing and mathematics at the centre

Reading with understanding

Reading opens the way into every subject. Our focus is on helping children understand what they read, develop vocabulary and talk about ideas, as well as read words accurately.

Writing to communicate

We want children to express their thoughts clearly. Building writing skills means developing vocabulary, organising ideas and paying attention to spelling and sentence construction.

Mathematics that makes sense

Confidence in mathematics grows through understanding. We aim to help children explain their thinking, use what they know and build securely towards the next step.

A curriculum with strong foundations and a wider outlook

Atlantic follows the Ghana Education Service curriculum developed by NaCCA, enriched by ideas from British education and Montessori practice.

Alongside academic learning, sport, creative activities and leadership opportunities give children different ways to participate, discover interests and build confidence.

Knowing the child behind the work

Our academic promise is to understand where each child is in their learning, what they need next and how school and home can support their progress.

When you visit, ask us how teachers check understanding, respond when a child needs help and share progress with parents. We welcome questions about what this means for your child.

A welcoming school community

Learning also involves how children treat people, respond to challenges and take responsibility. We want a school community where children feel valued and learn to show kindness and respect.

Our grounds in Ogbojo provide a green setting with mature trees. A visit gives you the opportunity to see the environment and talk with the team about everyday school life.

Looking ahead to Junior High

Finding the right class for your child

Every new child is assessed before class placement. We consider age, prior learning and assessed ability to identify the class that best reflects the child’s learning needs. We do this in partnership with you, the parent.

Choosing the right primary school for your child

If you are considering schools around Ogbojo, East Legon or Ashalley Botwe, we invite you to visit Atlantic and assess the fit for your family. Ask about the curriculum, learning expectations, communication with parents, current fees and your child's daily journey.

Tell us your child's current class and the stage you are considering. Our admissions team can discuss availability and the next steps.
